Come on down to Venice beach – ie. Dogtown and see the launch of the 17,000 sq. foot skateboard park.
KNOW WHO YOU ARE…
Labor day weekend, we headed down to Venice Beach to check out the all girls skateboarding and snowboard rail event. Yes, I said snow – brought in and laid down on the beach in the hot summer sun of Venice. As usual Venice was rocking out with all the local freaks, tourists, etc. It was a fun action packed day. While Amy Caron won, I personally thought Vanessa Torres by far had the most stylish skating ability and pushed the envelope of her tricks, but it’s not always about going for the crazy tricks as much as it is about being smooth and landing your tricks consistently.
| Name | Score |
| 1. Amy Caron | 78.06 |
| 2. Vanessa Torres | 77.56 |
| 3. Alexis Sablone | 72.50 |
| 4. Tamara Drybrough | 70.06 |
| 5. Leticia Bufoni | 68.19 |
| 6. Abisha Alshebaiki | 66.19 |
| 7. Elizabeth Nitu | 63.94 |
| 8. Candy Jacobs | 62.31 |
