Critical wildlife habitats and the health of human beings rely on abundant water levels in America's rivers and lakes
, the very rivers and lakes from which much of our drinking water is supplied. Hidden industrial uses of water can
threaten water levels - I was surprised to find out that it takes over 30 gallons of water to produce just one cup
of coffee.
There are so many ways we can all shrink the size of our water footprint. Please join The Nature Conservancy in
promoting World Water Day - we’d truly appreciate it if you all could post and tweet the Water Footprint of an
American http://www.nature.org/ourinitiatives/habitats/riverslakes/explore/water-footprint-of-an-american.xml
