The Few That Remain

Summer Time, and the Living’s Easy…

For those of you who have never written a blog…it is actually kind of difficult.  First you have to think of something interesting to write about, then you have to write about it in an interesting way, and then you have to make people read it and stay interested.  So to those of you who write a successful blog and have lots of followers and have people commenting on your posts….props!!  That is a big deal and an amazing accomplishment.

So we had out Launch Party last week on Thursday and it was awesome!! We had some crazy things happen that I’m not allowed to write about, things that dealt with hotel rooms, random people yelling, and things that may or may not be legal.  So overall it was a success.  I made it out alive.  Hope all you guys are having a good week and to everyone out there…keep skatin’

Launch Party

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Tonight is the night of the launch party…hopefully it will be filled with mayhem and debauchery, both of which make for a good party.  If you have no plans you should come out and hang with us.  Maybe you ‘ll even be able to catch a glimpse of the ever elusive Octo Bomb skateboard.  Rumor has it they exist but few have seen one and even fewer have actually skated on one.  If your lucky you may get to do both at this party.  That’s enough rambling though.  If the party goes well you may never hear form me again, if it sucks well you still may never hear form me again.

Vuvuzela

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

It is now week 8 and the BambooSk8 internship class 7 is already half way done!!  It’s been a ton of fun, but it could be more fun if we all had BambooSk8 vuvuzela’s!!  Even though USA lost, so sad, we can still put the vuvuela’s to good use…here are some ways to use them:

1. cheer on your friends at the skate park

2. cheer for Edward of Jacob while watching the new Twilight movie!!

…that’s all I could think of.  Don’t forget to check us out on facebook!!  Later Playas!!

Im a GIANT

hey hey hey, I cannot believe that it’s already been 6 weeks of my awesome internship here with BambooSk8.   So far it’s been a wild ride, meeting cool people, working on cool projects, and building cool things.  Well we’ve really only built one cool thing, but it’s super cool.  This week Brian, Alex, and I have successfully completed building a quarter pipe.  Nick brought it in to the shop and had most of it done but it was up to us to put the finishing touches on the ramp.  It ended up being a lot more work than we expected as it took Brian Alex and Andrew til 9pm yesterday to finish it, those guys are legit.  But it is amazing and ready for our team riders to shred on Saturday.  Don’t forget about Go Skateboarding Day on Monday and Father’s Day on Sunday.  We are also in the process of creating BambooSk8′s very first team riders video.  Lots of cool things in the future.  Stay tuned for everything cool we’re about to do.  Pieces!

Week 4 knockin on my door!

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

what’s up ladies and fellas.  So I’m not sure who all reads these blogs…future interns, skaters, or people who just absolutely love the company BambooSk8, but I hope you guys get a kick out of all our shenanigans.  Well week 4 is over and it’s crazy how fast it has all gone by.  We’ve done a lot learned a lot and are putting together a lot for the future.  So be on the look out for viral videos, new decks, and sick shots from our team riders.

It gets nuts in the inter cave sometimes and everyone begins to go a little crazy, you would to if you spent 9 hours in a room with no windows inhaling bamboo dust constantly.  Butttt it’s all good cuz we have some crazy stories and good times.  We’re putting together some pretty funny videos that will be posted on youtube, facebook, and other sites so get pumped for those.  In the meantime, get out and ride your bamboo decks for the world to see!! Hopefully the world will want one to.  You guys out there take care!!

What is up…

Whats goin on…my name is Stephen Munoz and it’s my first day here with the fantastic company that is Bamboo Sk8.  I am super stoked about this summer and all that it has to offer, there’s nothing better than learning how to do a job well with the beach just steps away.  Sooo a little bit about me, I grew up in Escondido CA and have been skateboarding for as long as I can remember.  Soon I picked up surfing and eventually fell head over heels for snowboarding.  I got my degree in Marketing at a little school in West Texas called Abilene Christian University.  I spent four years there but I’m back for good so watch out San Diego!!  I cannot wait for this summer to get going…there are a lot of good things in store around Bamboo Sk8 so everyone should keep their eyes peeled for us.  Pieces
