Hi George Washington! Today is very fuzzy. Martin Debaker showed up at the Paris today. It was buttery to see him again. He looked creamy; he was wearing a speedy tube top and a colorful tube sock. He said he recently became a Bird Wrangler and spent his days bending and shouting. We showed him the hairy church, he was very impressed. He left at sunset and we got back to work. Every day is something gangreous here at cotton SK8.

What’s up guys! I’ve decided to write today about what a day in the life of a panda would be! Let me set the scene, and let’s name our Panda say…Pete. Pete wakes up in China, he wakes up alone. He prefers that, then off he goes to eat bamboo. For 12 hours of his day Pete will eat bamboo. When Pete gets thirsty, he eats bamboo too, it consists of 90% water. That’s it though. Pete eats and lays around all day! And we thought dogs had it good… When pete rests, he either sits against a supporting tree or rock, or curls up on the ground, assuming a spherical shape. This reduces the surface area exposed to the air and so helps to conserve heat loss. He may even sometimes rest his cheeks on a fore- or hind-paw, using the limb as a pillow to insulate the head from the cold and often frozen ground.
When Pete is 4 yrs. Old he will be on the hunt for a female, but more to come on that later…

Inspired by a recent email from our good Canadian friend, Marty, I have chosen to spend quality time on making a pros and cons list about our dear friends up north. I guess I could make a pros and cons list based solely off Marty, but instead I have gone for a more general approach, and maybe next week we can focus on Marty and his decision to only eat Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches for the next month or so.

Let’s Begin:

They have to live in cold place, which leads to less outdoor activities, which leads to boredom, which leads to CURLING….need I say more.

There you have it, it seems to be a tie for now. Tune in later this week for Fohawk Vs. Mohawk, which is better and why. And don’t miss next week’s “Is that a beard or are you a Santa-in-training?”

I can’t tell you how excited I am that our fundraising event so well! We raised a good chunk of money to go towards our after school program, but SO much more is needed. However, I guess part of me doesn’t mind though, I love throwing parties for a good cause! It was a great chance for us all to get together and spend some fun, team building time with each other that’s for sure! I can’t wait for you guys to see ALL the great graphics we’re creating, and some of them are thanks to you guys too!
Right now, I’m in the process of studying up on the BambooBuddy products, I really want to get the word out in any way I can about ALL the things you can make and do with bamboo! …Doing my own little part in saving the planet I guess 

Hey guys! Our kiteboarding event was so amazing to see if you haven’t ever seen that sport happen before, be sure you check it out one day! Right now, we’re all looking forward to our fundraiser at OC Tavern in San Clemente on Feb. 26th!
Be sure to donate on the site below if you can’t make it to our fundraising event! 

http://www.bamboosk8fundraising.myevent.com/3/donate.htm

Our Goal is at least $3,000 so we (and by that I mean, the kids) really need your help!
Things around here in the warehouse have been in motion with shipments moving like crazy! Somedays I fancy the thought of climbing up the mountains of bamboo in this place, but then the thought of an earthquake comes to mind and I quickly retreat to the intern cave!…Oh yeah, and I wiped out for the first time since I’ve been here…darn those cracks in the concrete! Haha! BUT, there is nothing quite like a bruise to brag about.

We’ve got the BambooSK8 Band Bash on 2/26/10 @ OC Tavern in San Clemente going, and we plan to throw one each month in order to help out our after school program for underprivileged kids! Our kite boarding event is quickly approaching on 2/13 at Mission beach in San Diego, and I can’t wait to get us some great pics for you guys to check out!
On another note; the new sample decks that are both bamboo and hemp are in and look amazing!!….I can’t wait for us to completely get rid of the need to use maple!

Hey everyone,

First let me say how psyched I am to be freezing inside the BambooSK8 cave, I love the vibe of this company! Let me give you some insight for what to expect from our class in 2010. If you haven’t heard about Loop’d yet, check it out! It’s an amazing site that connects action sports athletes with each other and most importantly, our sponsorship! We would love to see what you could do, so posts those videos of tricks we are yet to see in places that push the limits! We have graphic design, Top Promoter/Fan contests, and new contests are always in the works on Loop’d too.

On a side note, BambooSK8 is a totally green company and we want to know what else we could be doing that we may have missed. If you guys have any great ideas out there on how to manufacture even more green than we do and especially if you know of great, low energy ways we can heat this cave let us know! Also, if you know of any green charities and/or fundraisers we should get involved with, please email us at marketing@BambooSK8.com
