I have always wanted to work in the Action Sports Industry ever since I went to my first Roxy Amateur Surf competition when I was 13 years old.

BambooSk8 looked like a great place to start building my resume. I have grown up with skaters and love the counter culture! This internship has definitely tested my email skills. I have never checked my email so often!

I am currently working on building a Bamboo skate ramp! Nothing is set in stone just yet but when it is……it will be ridiculously awesome!

The best part of this internship is the trade show! I went to the ASR trade show in January and it was Rad! Everyone is so stoked to be there and I met so many funny people , I can’t wait to go in September. The Action Sports Industry is sick because everyone is so chill! I was stoked when I found out I didn’t have to wear a suit to the office! Keeping everything relaxed and mellow gets the job done!

Oh! How I love Fridays! It’s raining and freezing today at the office. Yesterday I was talking to my Dad about skating in its formative stages. He told me about this film they showed him in Second grade called Skaterdater. It is a short film about the dilemma all Second grade boys encounter. Which is it, skating or girls? This short is sick because it shows where skating started. The skaters in this film are barefoot on tiny boards covered in wax because grip tape wasn’t invented yet and they had clay wheels. My dad was telling me how mind blowing and cutting edge hopping a curb was back in the 60’s. Skating has come so incredibly far and this film proves it! Check it out!
