Tomorrow, Friday February 19th, the radio station Rock105.3 will be at Bear Mountain in Big Bear, CA. They will be giving away brand new skateboard decks from, you guessed it, BambooSK8! The conditions up there have been amazing, so if anyone is going, stop by the booth for some free music downloads and a chance to win one of our decks!

BambooSK8 @ Big Bear with Rock105.3
Thursday, February 18th, 2010Week ?, ASR, and Woot!
Tuesday, February 9th, 2010I have really gotten in the grove of being an intern at BambooSK8 and I’m loving it! I am expecting to drop off a few boards to Clear Channel this week for a give away at an event in Big Bear later in the month. I have been in contact with Woot.com and other similar sites to get our boards for sale on their sites. They all sell one product a day for a 24 hour period. I was lucky enough to attend ASR last week after slyly getting in. I am still craving the waffle on a stick that was given away by the founder of Vans. It was far smaller than I expected. I think there were more half naked female promoters than there were booths. Crossroads, across the street, was pretty amazing too, especially after meeting Christian Hosoi.
Week 3 Progress
Monday, January 25th, 2010Today is the first day of week 3 at BambooSK8! Besides going through two states in the master shop list, I have made a contact at the Clear Channel offices who will be stopping by later today. The plan is to give out a few of our decks at Rock105.3 sponsored events. This would also get the BambooSk8 name out on the airwaves. I have also been updating and adding people on myspace like crazy! I have created a group on there which has already brought a couple more onto the Loop’d site. I’m brainstorming with some other cheap promotion ideas, but you’re going to have to wait till my next post to hear about them!
First day @ Bamboosk8
Monday, January 11th, 2010Here I am, hopped up on a couple monster drinks, in the freezing sk8 cave during day 1 of class 6. I’m part of a lucky elite few who have the honor of being interns and I am already loving it. The day has mostly been spent getting acquainted with the paperwork and assignments which will define my next few months here. I can’t wait to see how everything plays out!
