So it’s been a while since my last post, thought I’d fix that…I’m still workin on the textile whatnot and things are going really well.  Bamboosk8 has been nice enough to add my name to a patent for a bamboo product I’ve been working on for quite a while.  I get to see the first samples either today or tomorrow, super stoked!  I can’t say any more right now, just know there’s all sorts of awesomeness goin on here…

yo dudes,

So I’m Kennen (a.k.a. kage, kbear, conan, rage, etc…).  I started as an intern here at BambooSK8 about a month ago.  I went to school in Ithaca, NY – the craziest hippie town around, think San Francisco but with happy hippies.  Got my bachelors in fiber science from Cornell in January and moved straight back home to Orange County.  Ithaca was awesome but it was way cold!  I thought I was gonna get a job right of college no problem, but the economy thought otherwise.  It’s cool though, this internship has been pretty sick.  I’ve been able to do way more as an intern here than I would have as an employee at any major company.  Right now I’m working on the textile side of bamboo and have a couple projects in the works.  I’m pretty stoked for this weekend, we got Go SK8 Day on Sunday – I’ll be wandering around various skate parks in Orange – and I plan to get a tech package done for my first bamboo product!  More about that next time though…peace
