What’s up guys! I’ve decided to write today about what a day in the life of a panda would be! Let me set the scene, and let’s name our Panda say…Pete. Pete wakes up in China, he wakes up alone. He prefers that, then off he goes to eat bamboo. For 12 hours of his day Pete will eat bamboo. When Pete gets thirsty, he eats bamboo too, it consists of 90% water. That’s it though. Pete eats and lays around all day! And we thought dogs had it good… When pete rests, he either sits against a supporting tree or rock, or curls up on the ground, assuming a spherical shape. This reduces the surface area exposed to the air and so helps to conserve heat loss. He may even sometimes rest his cheeks on a fore- or hind-paw, using the limb as a pillow to insulate the head from the cold and often frozen ground.
When Pete is 4 yrs. Old he will be on the hunt for a female, but more to come on that later…
