Decks - Strength
For more than 2 months, our decks were tested at Sole Technology’s STI lab. Each test involved a random skater (more than 10 skaters) who had no idea the kind of deck they were testing as the deck was blackened out; a blind comparison between maple and bamboo. On this date, this random skater ollied over 32.19” at least 3x. This data for this skater concluded that he ollied 3” higher than the maple deck. Another test involved the calculation of force and impact on the body and the skateboard when jumping off a 7 stair concluding the amazing strength that a bamboosk8 deck absorbs in terms of abuse of the body yet the ability to not break easily. Note: average skater jumping a 7 stair can exert up to 18 times their body weight in force.
