Geoff

Geoff Koboldt - President/Owner

Geoff has been at the forefront of emerging trends in a myriad of capacities involving music, action sports, automotive and digital content. In 2008, he left the position of Vice President of Strategic Operations for Dark Horse Distribution, with skateboard brands such as Dogtown, Grind King and Termite.

At Dark Horse, he successfully grew the Internet-side of the business by more than 6150% over the prior year. He has also passionately owned and operated his own music entertainment company Out of Step Entertainment for more than 10 years.

While at General Motors Corporation he held a variety of management positions including Operations, Inventory Control and Quality Network. His Japanese lean manufacturing training led to savings of over $10 million.

He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Michigan State University (1997) and is a member of the MSU Orange County alumni. He also earned his MBA from the prestigious Graziadio School of business at Pepperdine University (2003).

As a child, he competed in freestyle bike contests in Michigan and rode skateboards, thus understanding the action sports lifestyle at an early age. Geoff resides in Los Angeles  so he can remain close to the beating heart of the entertainment world.

Mark

Mark Olson - Operations Manager

Mark grew up in Mpls, MN playing every sport possible, including stints on different boards from skateboarding to snowboarding and wakeboarding. Although Mark enjoyed cruising from A to B and going out with friends and family on various boards, Mark spent most of his time growing his talents in other sports.

These sports enabled him to follow a dream of his since grade school, to move to California. Mark was awarded a scholarship to California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Ca, where he was apart of the NCAA collegiate level soccer and tennis teams.

While attaining his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration with a major in Marketing, he was known for cruising around campus on his longboard. After graduation in 2006 he moved down to San Diego where he held various jobs in sales and marketing in an attempt to find his career path.

His jobs ranged from the large business world of Enterprise Rent-a-car to slanging apparel at Mission Beach Surf and Skate in the tourist trap area of San Diego’s beach communities. After jumping around and getting his feet wet in the world of life and growing up, he realized he wanted to go after and start a career in a company he believed in and felt he was bettering the world at.

In 2008, Mark started his journey in the BambooSK8 family as part of class 2 in the internship program. He went on the become project lead of the following classes and as the company grew he became its first employee, hired on as Office Manager in August 2009.

He is currently the Operations Manager continuing to grow with the company, residing only a few miles west of the office on the beach in downtown Oceanside with his co-worker and roll dawg, Andrew Gray.

Geoff Consolacion - Warehouse Associate

Geoff has been immersed in action sports for as long as he can remember. As an Oceanside native, he’s been surrounded by the culture and lifestyle that encompass skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding. He got a hold of his first skateboard when he was 10 years old and he recognizes that day as a major turning point in his development as a person.  

Thirsting for a new venture in life, Geoff moved to America’s great Midwest to spend his college days. Having graduated in May 2010 from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s Degree (Finance), Geoff soon returned to Oceanside in hopes of coupling his interests in both business and skateboarding.

Geoff landed here at BambooSK8 as a member of class 9 of the internship program in January 2011. He lent his knowledge of the skateboarding industry while learning a great deal through the mentorship of Geoff Koboldt, Mark Olson, and Andrew Gray. After a lot of hard work and dedication, Geoff was officially hired on in July of 2011 as BambooSK8’s Warehouse Associate. Living only a few miles away, you can find him skating Oceanside’s MLK skate park or cruising the San Luis Rey River trail on his road bike.

Jacquelyn

Jacquelyn Purvis - Graphic Artist

Jacquelyn was born in Oceanside, CA but has lived in Arizona, Northern California, Santa Barbara, and Italy. She grew up participating in every sport available to her and has had a life long passion for both art and design ever since she could hold a crayon. Her interests in the action sports industry originated in 6th grade when she moved to Humboldt and her brother gave her her first skateboard. Since then her interests have shifted all over the place, but lately they have turned to cruising on longboards and designing graphics for boards.

Jacquelyn graduated Westmont College located in the beautiful Santa Barbara in 2011 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Studio Art/Design and a minor in Movement Science. She has held many miscellaneous jobs and internships that have led her to where she is at now, one of which was working as the business and graphic intern for the Ultimate Boarder Competition introducing her to a whole new artistic side of board sport life. Jacquelyn is excited to be back home in Carlsbad where she can combine her passions of art and sports into working for a company that is focused on making a positive difference in the world.
